Mr. Treseder is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in upper limb and trauma surgery. He consults and operates at the Melbourne Private Hospital and well as being a staff orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. 

Parkville Orthopaedics offers treatment of a wide range of orthopaedic injuries, including joint pain, fractures and musculoskeletal problems. While we do practice open surgery, we specialise in arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments. With our other practice partners- no matter what your orthopaedic problems or injury may be- we can assess and offer timely and appropriate treatment.

About Mr. Treseder

Prior to his current appointments,  Mr Treseder has held positions at The Alfred Hospital as a consultant surgeon and the Royal London Hospital as an orthopaedic fellow. He is a lecturer and examiner at the University of Melbourne medical school and Director of Training for the Australian Orthopaedic Association. 
His subspecialty training includes orthopaedic trauma and upper limb orthopaedics having undertaken post fellowship training in the United Kingdom and France. 
Mr Treseder is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons, the Australian Orthopaedic Association and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society.

He consults and operates 9-5 Monday to Friday and is on call on a rotating roster at both the Royal Melbourne and Melbourne Private Hospital.

Our Services

Mr Treseder has a special interest in arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments of both traumatic and degenerative conditions.
Our common services include arthroscopic surgery for dislocations and tendon tears and pain and treatment of fractures and dislocation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and forearm. Mr Treseder also treats the problems associated with trauma such as deformity correction, joint reconstruction and rehabilitation. 
In addition, joint replacement of the shoulder and elbow as well as surgeries and interventions for tendon pain and dysfunction are commonly performed. 
He runs a complex upper limb disorder clinic at the Royal Melbourne Hospital that involves a multidisciplinary team. 

Our Location

Our consulting suites are located Melbourne Private Hospital in Parkville. We have access to the hospital’s in-house radiology, physiotherapy and orthotic services. Melbourne Private hospital offers a full spectrum of services from intensive care and in-house cardiology assessment to MRI and interventional radiology. 

Mr Treseder also consults monthly at Gisborne Medical Centre.
